Mae-Ann Webb is from the small town of Ridge Spring, SC and a graduate of W. Wyman King Academy. She is currently a junior at the University of South Carolina where she is earning her degree in Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism Management. She is a Life Scholarship Recipient, has been named to the Dean's List at the University and is a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society. Her ambition is to become an Event and Wedding planner.
Since the age of 14 Mae-Ann has been involved in pageantry. Along with various local titles, Mae Ann was crowned Miss Teen South Carolina United States in 2009 and competed in the National Pageant in Las Vegas where she won Fashion Model’s Unlimited sponsored by The Supermodels Unlimited Magazine. She held the Miss Columbia USA title in 2011 and competed in the 2011 Miss South Carolina USA pageant winning Miss Congeniality. After six years of competing in pageantry, she is honored to hold the prestigious, international title of Miss Galaxy. There is no greater honor than having the opportunity to represent such a wonderful organization and be a role model to people all over the world.
Mae Ann has been involved in many volunteer activities in her community and state because she believes her duties go beyond the winning of a sparkly crown and sash on Saturday night. These organizations include Relay for Life, Palmetto Children’s Hospital, Fashion for a Cure, The South Carolina Autism Society, Storyfest at the SC State Museum, MCG Children's Hospital, and "Royalty Reads", a program which she has established to bring an awareness to the importance of reading and to challenge boys and girls to read. She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at USC and very involved in the sorority’s Philanthropy "Breast Cancer Awareness. Volunteering holds a special place in her heart and she is thrilled at the opportunities that this title has presented her with. |
Mae-Ann has been featured on the TLC show “King of the Crown” in the episode The Southern Belle vs. the Bombshell “(still airing on Netflix). She has done extra work in an upcoming television show and movie and has walked the runway in many fashion shows ranging from Los Angeles, California to Charlotte, North Carolina She has been in several issues of Supermodel’s Unlimited Magazine and will be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue. Mae-Ann is also a member of the Carolina Coquette’s dance team at USC and performs at all home games!
In her spare time, Mae-Ann enjoys going to the gym and learning new healthy living tips to keep fit! She finds it so rewarding to live a healthy lifestyle! In today’s society it is so easy to get lost and lose control of one’s self, so she aims to be a good role model and encourage others to lead a healthy lifestyle. She also enjoys cooking, baking, crafting, reading and taking care of her 1 year old yorkie- Indie! |
